We got along fine, he was a 'foundling', a neighbor found him in a snowbank on Christmas, thought ours had escaped.
He was 'bout gone from hypothermia and starvation...

Both of mine died several years ago, and now I live in D.H.S. CA,
and the state government has somethin' against the best pets in th' world...
