I made this for Samantha. She loves rabbits/hares/bunnies/etc., and she's also a painter.
I've made more refined repousse' pieces but the lines, marks, and gouges look like pencil lines, charcoal smudges and brush strokes, and given that my Samantha is a painter, it seemed somehow fitting to leave all the marks there. Later, I even embellished them, polished them deep and added more. I stained it with liver of sulfur, polished the high points, and set in a carnelian to finish off the composition.
