This has happened to me in real life more often than I care to admit. While I understand that my larger recorders are rather obscure, they (especially my great bass) have been mistaken for a bassoon, oboe, or clarinet. Haven't yet have anyone mistake it for a trumpet yet, but I'm sure that's coming.

For this commission, I sketched out what I wanted and asked Alan Foreman to redraw it in his style, and this was the excellent result.
