While in Vegas for CES i got the chance to test out the new Microsoft Studio. Not at the CES show floor though XD. I found this at the Microsoft store across from my hotel.
All in all its a great device for illustrating. I wouldnt trade my 27qhd cintiq for one (especially seeing as how this is a non upgradable highly priced AIO) but the 4k+ screen 3:2 screen was beautiful and the ntrigs quirky slow pen wobble was far less noticable with the added screen realestate. Pen pressure curves were nicely refined though. All in all it worked better than i expected.
The store employees were actively asking for feedback and advice on ways yo improve the device so that was good to see.
Enjoy as always!

I just bought a Wacom Mobile Studio Pro. After I had tried the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 at a local Best Buy. The Wacom is still king. By far. Using SAI on the new tablet was like a whole new drawing experience, really.
It's a fun toy I intend to bring with me to FC this year. But it's interesting that Microsoft is getting better at the drawing surface game.

Nice!! Im looking at picking up the mobile studio 16 later in the year. I currently have a surface pro 3 which is certainly a very capable device. Unfortunetley the ntrig pen wobble is noticable and frusterating, esepcially on rounded diagonals. The blue tooth pen ocasionally goes through pairing fits as well. It was a great device for whe. It came out but the pen issues really fuck up my rythym when jumping between the surface and my cintiq. I personaly havent seen any major improvements to this behavior on the surface pro 4 so it still seems to be an issue
Which mobile studio did you buy and how are you liking it thus far. Ive heard the paralax has been greatly reduced compared to the previous gen cintiq companions.

It's incredible. I haven't gotten to try it with Photoshop yet, since we're having a problem getting my free-for-a-year product key, but I HAVE gotten to play with it in SAI. The pressure sensitivity and response is amazing compared to my older Cintiq (21UX) and they're right, the paralax is WAY better. But I have been using the old Cintiq for a long time and and so USED to it that it's almost jarring trying to use the Mobile Studio.
I went for the 16 inch, i5, 256. I am REALLY glad I didn't go for the 13. The extra surface space is super important. Actually. If you're going to FC, we might be able to meet up if you want to try it out.
