Well, it's taken me a great long while to actually finally get around to drawing my other fursona. A black furred Golden Jackal. (Contradictory to itself, but that's what my species is named)
This picture was fun to draw and hell to color. But, I sort of knew that getting into it when I decided to take on the project of black fur. Because black fur is REALLY hard to shade as white fur is hard to highlight... but anyhow... I have actually wandered out of the house like this.
And this picture is basically me having gone out for a stroll and stopping by a park to watch the wonderful tropical sunset.
I was debating about actually putting the sunset in the back ground, but I liked the way the lighting was coming out this way, and I already had this picture all planned out. Over all, I'm extremely pleased with how it came out, and now I have the luxury of showing a picture vs. having to describe Anubis to everyone.
Alrighty then working time:
Line art: 1 hour
Inking: twenty minutes
Digital clean up/ touchup: 1 hour
Main picture coloring: (if you'll not my painstakingly hand made fur effect): 5 hours
1 hour nap: 1 hour
Back ground, highlights and extra goodies: 2 hours.
Total Working Time; 10 hours and twenty minutes
...and now I'm going outside and getting away from this damn computer.
