Pretty much everything in Alien has a sexual undertone to it as intended by the director. In particular the Xenomorph attaches itself to the victims face, sticks its second mouth into the victims and secrets a substance down the throat which leads to birth. And that's just the most obvious example in the movie.

Not quite that way. The facehugger is simply a first stage. The tube is shoves down people's throats is an ovipositor. The egg then attaches itself to the wall of the digestive tract and a tendril grows out into the body cavity. The process integrates part of the host's genetic code as it 'borrows' material. When the young 2nd stage creature is ready it bursts from the chest then matures rapidly requiring a large food intake. There are mechanisms mentioned briefly in canon that the lack of the queen's pheromones will lead to a lone drone to begin developing egg laying capability for very few eggs, one being a queen.
There are males, the queen's guards that appeared in Aliens were males but with a lack of males the process can be asexual, basically producing clones that have variation from material taken from the hosts of the embryos.
