Beautiful work, Timid. While the story behind the image is sad, your handling of what I might term "realistic furry" is excellent. There's an Old Master's work showing a peasant woman out in the fields bent in a similar position and I would place this work right next to it as telling a similar fashioned story.

It is good, Timid, and it is a work that you can be proud of. Your attention to detail is excellent, but you are talented enough not to let you skill with detail run away with your story. A fine artistic balancing act that comes off very well as a work of art.
