Fires of Passion (Speedpaint Piece)
Scene from my character Sledge's backstory - this is after his love, Kira was slain. Here I illustrate his first transformation into the monster in which punished the wicked and damned Sledge to be locked away for a millennia.

First off, I love the picture, really fantastic work
But I have a bit of constructive criticism. Somehow, the pose looks a bit stiff. I am no expert and still cannot hope to achieve your level, but it kind of looks like the figure does not belong to the background. What I mean is that you have a very dynamic background which indicates a slope that your figure stands on. However your character looks like it stands on a flat and hard surface. Or like it will fall over any second.
I don't want to belittle your work but I hope that you get what I mean and that it'll help you.

Not sure that I agree 100% - although I do see where you're coming from!
I think it's because I kinda half-assed the shading on the feet - so you can't really tell that he's standing on his toes - which would make the pose correct (I may go back at a later date and redo this whole piece actually - I'm not happy with it) But I think that's what you're seeing (or rather not b/c my shading flop lol).
Art is simply a skill - it can be learned by anyone - just give yourself time and practice!
