Am I the only one that thinks he looks like a canine-morph in the face? Short blunted muzzle with black nose at the tip, the way the mouth is shape giving him a split lip look... He could almost pass for BW Silverbolt's brother.

Just doesn't make me think Sunstreaker, or much like the movie designs. But design aside, its a great peice.

Well I dunno if you noticed, but the autobots were all mammalian in facial design while the decepticons were all insectoid in design. Prime's face was based on a baboon for it's intelligent gaze, Ratchet's face was a mandrill/gorilla and Ironhide's was a bulldog, etc. Look em over again, you'll see what I mean.

I've never seen any of that in them. If anyone looks like a Bulldog, I think its ratchet becuase he looks like he has the jowels for it. Prime's face always looked like a long humans, other then length It doesnt remind me of a Baboon in anyway. Many thought he looked "Emo" not intellgent. If they are their they are de-emphasized through coloring. Looking to your avatar the "doggy-ness" feels more amplified with the colors.

First: Seibertron... Eww...

Second: Still don't see it. I have most the Movie toy characters, and I simply don't see anything animalistic in them. Where as here, its blatant that you took off BW Silverbolt's mask and replaced it with Sunny's ears, and then tried to give it movie elements.

Third: Its not something we are likely to agree on. The art is good, and I like the detail that went into it. So I'm not saying it is bad, it just doesn't look realistically like a movie design to me.

Say what you will but I simply did not reference Silverbolt for this. The only reference I used was that pic at the back of Maximum Dinobots 2 of Sunstreaker's head. The rest just came to me.

-=rubs brow=- Maybe its all my time on messageboards, but I've learn that not all opinions have to include the phrase "to me" in every sentence. To me, it blatantly looks like there are strong elements of BW Silverbolt in the design. And your earlier "Intentional" comment would seem to support it, as I mention him looking similar ot BW Silverbolt in the post before that too; but you seem to deny it now of "Just coming to you". So please forgive me as I try to understand as your starting to confuse me

So did you Intentionally make Sunstreaker's head canine on the belief that Movie Autobots' heads look like animals and have been trying to prove, and thus making it look like BW Silverbolt's head which is also very canine-esque? Or did you just sit down and raw what came to you, and its purely coincidental that it ends up looking like another face that is very canine-esque?

I'm not trying to be troll or anything, but this is why I don't then to comment on Art. The artists always seem to take my comments like I just ran over their dog. I know I am blunt in my opinions, but I do get tired of people always taking them the in the worst possible way.

it's your wording, when you say blatant, you're assuming that I sat down with a picture of silverbolt and copied his face design. The word blatant has negative connotations and very strong ones (eg: Blatant ripoff, blatant pornography)

I made Sunstreakers head canine on the obvious design elements of the autobots. They were certainly not meant to be human looking, as repeatedly stated by Robert Orci.

On some level I agree that they weren't human looking; not like the 'classic' look. Of the Bots, Ironhide looks the least human. But Jazz, Prime, and Ratchet look very humanoid to me. Ratchet kinda gives me a similar vibe to Ani Ratchet, in looking older then the others in the face. Jazz looks like a stylazation of his classic head, and so does Prime. Bumblebee, his battlemask looks insectoid, but his normal face.. Isn't humanish, and when I look at it, it kinda reminds me of the Robears from Thundercats.
