DiC was the company for great entertainment in 1980's and 1990's.
Now, it's becoming Media DHX and Mill Creek Entertainment. I missed that company even though I was scared from
the original logo at the end of Inspector Gadget and some other shows, I thought it sad "Die." Weird, huh?
NICE WORK!

DIC was founded in France by Jean Chalopin and had dubbed the English version of "The Mysterious Cities of Gold" anime series for broadcast on the Nickelodeon cable channel in the 1970s. Their "Ulysses 31" series was a big hit in France in the late 1970s before it was dubbed for English language broadcast in their "Kideo TV" block with "Popples" and new "Rainbow Brite" episodes towards the end of the 1980s. "Get Along Gang" reruns replaced "Ulysses 31" in mid season in "Kideo TV".
"The Littles" was the studio's first series created for US network broadcast with "Inspector Gadget" being their first weekday cartoon series.
"DIC" stood for "Diffusion, Imagination, Creativity" for the record.

Each generation has their favorites. One size doesn't fit all unfortunately. Everything in entertainment now is measured in demographics, age brackets, and target audiences.
If a certain tv show, cartoon or live action, can reach and appeal to a wide audience of any age in terms of content and watchability especially in reruns,..those shows should be regarded as classics.
