I figured I'd throw a love interest into the mix and making her a dolphin seemed like the wisest choice since Melu'ke is a quite the introvert. That's where Keani comes in. She's fun adventurous and a little impulsive, just what Melu'ke needs. Her brother is the more rational of the twins and doesn't think highly of his sister's reasoning... in a few words: "stick in the mud".
