I had a friend driven to the brink of madness when he uploaded a video online and it didn't come out perfectly...

it's strange, the rule of opposites apply for me in this area.

I hated the storyline, I hated the characters. Loved the game mechanics, loved the microtasking.

Every character, EVERY CHARACTER, in ff8 was an unlikable dipshit. I didn't think it was possible for a final fantasy that was this poorly written since 2. I didn't think it was possible for a game to have character that I liked. This was like Death Note for me, but at least Death Note had characters that were compelling.

I guess I liked Final Fantasy VIII so much, is because of the music...In my OH so humble opinion, it had the best music. :)
And when I say best music, I mean it had more GOOD music than the rest of the series. Other games had my more favorite songs...

I'm more a writing critic than a music critic. Nobuo Uematsu always does good work. FF6 was my favorite. It was the closest thing to the perfect FF game I've ever encountered.

Mr. Uematsu is a fricken GENIUS. I was so bummed out to find out that Final Fantasy XII wasn't musicicized by him...Well, not all of it, anyway.

having mixed feelings with Hamauzu, but Shimomura always does good work. Looking foward to V13 for it's music, but I extremely jaded by the story, not expecting anything out of it's writing.

same, but again I'm not expecting ANYTHING out of these 3 games. They all look pretty okay to me. Nothing spectacular, nothing new. FF9 was my favorite and the last surprising fantastic FF game.

This song put it over the top for me. I consider this one of the best love songs. There's a strong emotion, with a soft-spoken passive feeling. There's a bit of... melancholy and light-heartedness, and is probably the only FF love song that genuinely made me cry a little TwT b
