I always put it on the correct side of the car,

Reminds me of my old Nissan 200SX (Sylvia in Japan), aka "The Nissan Valdez" (leaky oil pressure sender ensured it changed its own oil at the rate of a quart a week until I fixed it).

No such car was ever made, even though almost all of the ancestry of the Capri, and subsequent variations of it, were offered with the soft-top option. I never used to rate convertibles much, thought they were a bit useless. Since getting one, I've changed my mind a bit. I like the look of a top-down car, and open-top cruising on a hot summers night is hard to beat.
