Last picture of 2016!

This is a small piece that I used to continue testing the Blick Studio colored pencils. They feel and layer a lot like the Caran d'Ache, but cost about a quarter as much. They're hard-lead types, so they do light layering very well.

This fluffball also has an opal triplet, which is a thin wafer of actual opal that has a black slate backing and a clear acrylic "cap". There is also some gold gel pen detailing.
