I'm guessing that you mean the scanner over exposed it or something, right? Well, it still looks pretty good to me. I'm guessing the texture was from the watercolor paper.

No, underexposed.

Well, then whatever you did with Sai and Photoshop really helped then. If it was underexposed I wouldn't think the texture would turn out as well as it did. I scanned in an ink drawing that was pretty overexposed and turned the black ink into something like a purple. I had to use Photoshop to up the contrast and darken the lines again.

Of course if you hadn't mentioned you had scanner problems, no one would know the different probably.
