Here we have the first written apperance of Taelia, the Fennec-Dragon, Goddess of Curiosity and Optimism. Aka the 'stuffpoker' as some have come to call her.
Sort of the first of me trying to put out a bit more this year then last year. Am I saying there will be a story each week, maybe, maybe not. I am just aiming to do more then what I did last year. And if people are interested in seeing more of Tae in shorts, I already got ideas using some characters I recive last year as well. May also try to experiment with using thumbnails for stories. Just have to see if that would be good.
Anyway, enjoy and hope you all have a wonderful year.

A wisp of smoke abruptly appeared in the middle of the clearing, despite no source of fire. The wind didn’t do anything to move it, as it rose, getting larger. A few of the wildlife stared at the rising smoke, some backing off. A small rabbit got a bit more curious as it hop over, sniffing the air. Inching a bit closer, it moved its head closer, nose twitching. No fire still as it got closer to touch the smoke.
The smoke suddenly engulfed into a very large puff, as the rabbit scrambled away as fast as it could. The puff of smoke didn’t last very long as it quickly faded, leaving a person standing in its centre. Green eyes filled with curiosity glanced around the area, a grin forming on the person’s muzzle.
This world was similar to others, Tae has visited, but as with all worlds there were things that were different. She glanced around more, smirking as she did, then with swiftness, she was off. She looked up at a nearby tree, as she pulled out a stick, summoning it almost out of nowhere. Bringing it up, she started to prod and poke the bark of the tree, leaning in to sniff it a bit.
The fennec-dragon craned her neck, looking upwards, as she couldn’t help but grin more. Her long, dragon like tail, covered in light brown fur, like most of her body, and tipped with light green fur, wagged as she moved closer. Two strands of blue hair, different from her long and curly purple hair, started to move slightly as well, as if the two strands were also tails. She jumped, arms wrapped around the tree, as she started to pull herself up.
Tae jumped, grabbing the closet tree, as she grabbed it and pulled herself up. Not many would think someone like her would waste time with climbing. But, to Tae that was part of the fun of exploring, to satisfy her limitless curiosity. Bits of bark and twigs clung to her fur as she glanced around, the red cloth she wrapped around her chest and crotch area a bit ruffled, but that didn’t bother her, as she moved her large ears and two light blue horns out of a branch above her.
But she didn’t wait long as she pulled herself up through the branches, clearing leaves out of her face, though pausing to give a few things a poke. She still had that grin, even if most of the things she poked didn’t budge, didn’t stop her though. As she pulled herself up to the fourth branch her ears twitched as she heard rustling.
A small little bird, with red feathers hopped out from the leaves. It tilted its head and trilled a short song, as it hoped closer to the goddess. Tae placed the stick down as she leaned in closer, her hand inching forward as she extended a finger. The bird hoped back a bit, startled slightly, as Tae poked it gently.
The fennec-dragon half expected the bird to fly off, but in turn was surprised, but also happy to see it stayed. Curiosity knew no bounds, something she knew quite well. She could feel it as the bird tweeted softly, and hopped onto her finger. It continued to trill softly as she brought up closer, using her other hand to gently poke it as she examined it.
Of course, most people think she would just be a crazy fennec like being with green markings and some dragon like features. And some of the other gods may agree with the rather high and unusual levels of curiosity and optimism she often showed. But Tae, was also very, almost hyper level, intelligent, even now as she examined the bird, her mind was taking note of wingspan, the shape of the beak, size of the bird overall. And while she was hyper intelligent, she also have a very short attention span, if the thing bored her. Or something caught her attention… often resulting in her going back to poking things she may have discovered already.
A noise below startled the bird, as it flew off quickly with a flap of its wings. But Tae looked down, hearing footsteps below the tree. This place was getting more and more interesting, as she grinned. Tae was so going to tell this to her best friend when she sees her next.
