THE ROGUE: AN ANALYSIS
The rogue is a reluctant hero. Fancying himself a ladies man and often criminally inclined he is usually the one who is dragged into the quest against his will and yet he stays against his better judgment.
Not the one to make friends easily his sarcastic wit, thieving ways and look-out-for-number-one attitude tends to grate on the patience of the other members of the quest. Yet, in the course of the quest the rogue will, in the end, find his true worth as a hero and oddly enough becomes the one most likely to perform “noble sacrifice”. And thus giving his comrades greater resolve to succeed.

Also note there will more then like be a line in his script that says
"Look babe, I didn't come here to be your knight, bodyguard, boyscout, or personal escort. As soon as you or anyone else in this "merry band" of yours screws up... you're on your own."
Or something to that effect. Usually the comment involves money, sex, or some other means of "payment"
