My sign collection 2/3
These are 2 of my 6 current signs I have hanging in my room. The Budweiser sign I rescued (along with all of the other beer signs) from a bar that was closing, and the Speed limit one (which has raised steel letters) I bought at a flea market as a rusty piece of junk - you couldn't even read what it said - So i cleaned it up and refurbished it (leaving the obvious wear intact for nostalgia reasons).
I find a nice connection to the past in these old signs - and even though I don't drink or smoke, I LOVE bar signage! If you have some I'd love to see them (and maybe purchase them if at the right price? O.O)

I've been searching for a stop sign with raised letters like this one has - and I've only found 1 in a year and a half of searching - and it was 50 bucks (beat to crap so much I couldn't repair like I did this one). People usually don't let the old, raised letters signs go - I got super lucky with this one ^.^
I got SUPER lucky with all of the beer signs (even though I don't drink) - They were going to be thrown away when they were tearing down an old bar near me - so I rescued them - they're almost all pristine - and the one is OLLLLLD - it's the landscape one in the other picture - the wood on the frame shows it's age in person

Only olllllld signs have raised letters around here - all of the other ones are flat and printed - these ones are stamped steel ^.^
I don't drink or go to bars, can't stand the atmosphere of them - I saw that it was closing and that they were taking things out of it and tossing them in a dumpster so I figured I'd stop in and check it out - one of the guys was carrying one of the mirrored signs out and I asked him what he was going to do with it. He told me he was scrapping everything - so I asked him if I could have it and if he had any more and he replied that I could have all of them - he'd rather they go to a new home than die in a dumpster - I guess they're really old, but he didn't have time to sell them - and I saved them from being lost forever
