Now that you know a little bit about him, you want to go out on a date with him (for the ladies) or hang out with him (if you're a fella), right

I hope that at some point in the next few weeks to get a drawing of my Furry-fied little brother. My first story would involve how Crafty uses some pinball skills on an Elvis-themed table to win a tournament, thereby enabling he and his brother Cunning to continue living at a Santa Monica apartment, which would be full of Mexican tchotchkes and outsider art and from time to time, their numerous human girlfriends. So he'd be playing the game and he'd be setting a record on it, winning the $1000 prize, thus keeping them from having to move out. But unbeknownst to him, his brother already paid the rent, meaning now he owes Cunning a favor for something./
Yeah, and you live in Santa Monica, which in 1995 was not as gentrified as it is today and like any place in the valley, is still largely Hispanic. I have a greater vision of it being a 90s cartoon like "Rocko's Modern Life" or "Ahhh! Real Monsters" but with a very Southwestern appearance.
I understand that. I find inspiration in GOB and Michael Bluth from Arrested Development. Crafty would be like GOB and Michael would be the sane guy.
Another story arc comes from my own childhood- one summer when I was a child, I got a NASCAR schedule and I wanted to see a weekend race. So I got all ready for it, got the family television all to myself, got worked up about it. Then I turn on the television and get absolutely bored to tears watching cars take left-hand turns for three hours and turn it off ten minutes in. That would be a great story to animate.

Well, finally I hear someone point out NASCAR's huge flaw. Your plan sounds fine. If you have a character named Crafty, than you are kinda shoehorned into a particular personality. Arrested Development was a masterpiece of writing and acting.
If you get around to it, you might check out Tortilla Flat by Steinbeck for inspiration.
Have a great 2017!

Yeah, he sort of has to be this archetypal fool and risktaker because if you look at the design as much as I have, that's the conclusion you're left with. There's nothing conservative about that smile, he's a fun-loving rascal who enjoys nothing more than having a good time. There's no way he can be anything else than a daredevil, the living embodiment of "I'm only gonna live once". And he's a skater so you know they naturally have to be adrenaline junkies. I just wish I had the skills to make this work.
