I like the way the background looks honestly. It says to me that to them two doesn't matter what the world around them looks like cause all they see is each other's beauty and wonder. Plus art doesn't have to be complex all the time, it can be anything from perfection to even the simplest doodle. Teehee.
Even though the background is supposed to be sketchy, that doesn't mean it's bad!
I mean, I think lined a bit harder (like the walls, houses, where details like that would belong) and fleshed out a bit this would be a fantastic background (not that it isn't great already)! The houses themselves have a heck of a lot of potential, I think. Though backgrounds take SOOOO LONG. Great work and and adorable piece!
