i know just how bad verbal abuse can be. hang in there, and dont let anybody tell you your emotional response is in any way invalid.

I'm so sorry that happened to you, wolfcigs. Of course it hurt- words from family can cut deep, whether they mean it to or not. I agree wholeheartedly with zachariel, and I'm glad you sounded like you enjoyed your mom's, at least, and I hope the new year is kind to you. You deserve that, not hurtful words and feeling trapped.
