2015 was the year where I experimented with different techniques, while 2016 was more about refining said techniques. My focus also shifted more onto The Smoosh Wolves as well as finally setting in stone how each wolf actually is.
I am happy to say I feel like I've improved a lot this year in many ways, and look forward to bringing The Smoosh wolves into 2017!
I would like to ask for some criticisms and feedback though:
What could I draw more of?
What do you feel my art lacks the most of?
And since it's been a couple months, I wanted the wolves to share a limited color palette (They all have the same black, for example), but do you think it's distracting when they stand next to each other?
Any feedback on these or anything else is greatly appreciated!
Thanks a ton for following me, and I wish you a Happy New Year!
(Btw, here's my last summary: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/18732957 )

I'd like to see more character interactions like how you did with Smooshmas! It was really fun to read.
For myself, I don't think it's really distracting that they share a limited color palette, but sometimes the cream colors kinda blend together in bigger group drawings, though that may be just me on mobile.
Hmm... I suppose more backgrounds would be nice! I wouldn't say it has to be complex, but characters interacting with objects/places around them, kinda like in this: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/12384474/

While not dialogue-heavy, interactions are actually something I've been trying to work on for some time! I'm trying to make sure they are more in body language than anything, but hearing that people wanna see more focus on that definitely helps me think of how to better do it.
Yeah, the blending thing has actually been commented on a few times which is why I worry, it's not much better on a desktop but if doesn't distract then it might not be too big of a problem.
I actually was thinking of trying to make simple environments, and I think that old image is definitely a good way to go. Thank you!

More cartoon antics you haven't tried yet are good!
Oh, and maybe trying out more animation. The simpler and more consistent designs might make it easier. Like some walk cycles, blinking their eyes, moving their mouths, etc. Don't have to if you don't want to animate, though.
Really, I don't feel you lack anything. You're practically flawless. Although, you're the artist, so you know yourself more than anyone else would, haha.
As for the palette, the shared colors help them seem more like they belong to a big, smooshy family. They all are Smoosh Wolves.
You're a fabulously amazing artist, Ray. The love and effort poured into the wolves shows, and continues to grow. Don't stop being awesome.

Trust me, I have a ton of ideas backed up for at least another month so the cartoon antics won't end soon! Mostly smooshy but trust me they aren't going to be samey!
Animation is definitely something I was meaning to try out more of. I have a few done, but that'll be more of a once-in-a-while thing. I may schedule myself to practice it more though.
I do appreciate the sentiments, and what this most tells me is that I should focus less on improving and more on trying new things, which I think is right.
Thank you so much for this feedback and especially for all the support!
