Lol, yes, the subtle shadows that give the shark depth really make it pop from the...board. lol

I like canvas more, but then again, I'm more of an abstract painter where small details sometimes can go unnoticed.

Yeah canvas is great for impressionistic, pure-inspiration, and abstract types of art. I do love it when I just want to paint without thinking or planning. But itty bitty brushes and meticulous strokes are brain-frying ;)
