When we loose something dear, sometimes we can become so upset that all we can focus on is all our mistakes that we can never make up for. If we see it that way, how can we not be forgiven for attacking ourselves in the torment?

^^ Heeh, just something I made a while ago. This is Ciere, Hoshii's husband in the Final Fantasy 7 fan roleplay. In the timeline, maybe less than half a decade since they fell in love, Hoshii is killed in action, and dies at Ciere's side. Thinking of every he'd ever made with Hoshii, and every regret, Ciere harmed himself, and even took every step he could to bring himself closer to death, without killing himself. His promise was that he would live his life, even without Hoshii.

The RP from here becomes more and more emotional. Years later, Ciere still lives as a twisted person, little care for anyone, even himself, worn from years of tormenting himself. His entire body is covered in scars, and its at this point that he meets Hoshii's daughter, neither having ever met, and neither knowing who the other is, but Ciere is reminded constantly of his lost love through her, and finds himself unable not to be close to her when they're together.
