Edward Elric is a character who can be an offensive as well as a defensive character during gameplay.

and don't worry about him taking time making his weapons from alchemy, he executes them fast enough to avoid leaving an opening, although afterwards, if certain moves miss, he would certainly be open for attacks.

Alchemy: Fire Halbard is a great move to use for counterattacking those who spam projectiles as he would jump high enough to avoid them and still hit the opponent.

-Notes on some moves-

Alchemy: Rockblocker can block projectiles that produces one hit, and the EX move can block two-three hits, but it doesn't work on Super Projectiles moves.

Alchemy: Stone Spike acts as an anti-air move in a way to attack those who try to jump towards you

Though I got most of his moves from watching the anime and play the PS2 games of FMA, Alchemy brings variety and I'm interested to know if you have better ideas for moves that I missed from the anime and the games before or be creative and think up clever transmutations that Ed can do, then I could change one of his moves if it sounds pretty interesting to me to sprite it out. ^^
