You should always cultivate your child and/or young relative when they show an interest in art. While my niece doesn't draw much now, she used to have stories and drawings of fantasy worlds. They would always have backstory to them...then i came along and messed them up for her! But we would always have fun doing so. Eventually she would draw just to see my take on it.
Now it just gets ridiculous and that's awwwright. She complained how the 'responsible' adults laughed and didn't help. (they're supposed to be the little girl's protectors. :)
