Several things first off.
1.) The top 'barrel' isn't a 'barrel' its probably -can't think of the word- :x I used a StG 44 as a basis since i LOVE WW2 german guns but from the barrel out I tried to be original.
2.) The image in the bottom right is the original stock i planned to use but was too lazy to cut it out of the image. Also it's based off the original StG 44's hand grip.
3.) Tenebrae is latin for 'Shadow'
Other than that nothing much else to say other than it can be set to single, semi, or fully automatic fire. And yes... that's a drum mag I just can't stay mad at it so therefore I'll use it when i feel like it. OH OH First time ever EVER drawing a bi-pod I think i did decently well. I could/should have made the scope bigger but I was being lazy and running short on lunch time drawing time so I just pulled a random scope from an old image and tossed it on the rifle.
I'm unsure if i'm getting better, worse, or not making any improvements. -shrugs-

Interesting design. I do have to agree with Xzadfor's assessment about the placement of the action. But that is a rather minor detail at this time. Now, I'm the kind of rifleman that is stuck on the idea that only bolt actions really make the best long range rifles. However, I have seen where semi-autos, such as the SR-25, have been very useful in their fields of duty. Now, the reason I bring this up is because bolt actions tend to have a longer barrel on them. I mean, about 70% of the rifle's length is barrel. Here, an even 50% is barrel and the rest stock. To me, using the grip as a size reference, you have a rather short barrel. To me, it seems like you're trying to fit long range performance into an assault rifle package, and that rarely works. Even the SR-25, with its carbine design, has a longer barrel than its assault rifle predecessors. Now, I will be the first to admit that I am very picky about technical things, overly picky actually. Your rifle, fitted with a suppressor or integrated suppressor system, would be perfect out to about 400-500 yards, and even 500 would be pushing it. To get the best performance with better range, I would look at a longer barrel which will lead to tighter, more consistent groupings.
And I believe it is quite obvious I am taking this WAY too seriously. lol
As I say each time, it's your design. I can add my 2 cents until I'm blue in the face, but the fact still remains that it's your creation. If it really bothered me that much, I would design my own rifle and that hasn't happened... yet. Actually, what you do looks fun and I may have to try my hand at it. But the important thing to remember is, it's yours in the end. What I have to say is only my idea there for you to either listen to and consider, or dismiss as you see fit.
Great work as always!

Ah, well I guess I can do a redesign at some point. It was a little rushed because of time and fellow students at my college dislike seeing me drawing guns and swords so I try to do it in secret or during a time when they aren't present. I'll be sure to make a note of what to correct and modify and I'll resubmit a redo image. Also I was going to point out the G36E is a mid range sniper, however, i don't know its performance but still I'm a G36 fan.
Yeah i noticed.
I know, I'm taking what is said to heart and do plan on making adjustments its just when and where I have the time to do so is the problem. I noticed you had submited a rifle design. I believe I need to give it a look.
Thanks.
