In the Northwest, they’re lived a white flightless dragon named, Rinzo. In his mind, he tried to focus on getting the house decorated and set for the arrival of a special somebody. This guest was that of Noel, The Christmas Cat.
Rinzo had just finished decorating the tree and was set on getting the Christmas cookies out of the oven. “Oh wow… They are so hot.” Rinzo said, taking them out and setting out on a rack to cool. “I’ll have a few of you later but you are going to Noel as he comes by.” Rinzo sighed at the thought of Noel stopping at his house.
He walked over to his couch and lays down, deciding to take a little nap. Rinzo yawned and got into the blankets. Before he shut his eyes, he whispered. “I wish I could be just like the Christmas Cat…” He stretched and went fast asleep; little would he know that Noel has overheard his wish.
In the North Pole, Noel was preparing to leave when he heard a wish go off. He went to inspect and saw Rinzo up on screen say his wish and pounders, “So, we got someone who wants to be like me…” Noel thought of the ideas as he got back to the sleigh and flew off. “I know just what to do.” Noel said as he flew over to his home.
He landed on the roof of Rinzo’s home, being as quiet as he could. He had an idea set and it was going to make sure that the dragon was going to have the best Christmas ever.
Noel grabbed his presents and prepared to go down the chimney. It was a tight fit but if his rival the Grinch cat could do it, then so could Noel. He went down the chimney in a pinch for him, it was almost a cinch. He then peaked out at the setup seeing the young dragon sleeping on the couch as he got out and set the presents under the tree. One would especially rouse him and made sure that it had special attention given to it. Then as he came down the chimney to set up the presents, he went back up it and waited for the dragon to notice it.
Rinzo woke up to see that there were presents under his tree, he yawned and wondered. “Were my parents stopping by?” He thought but shook his head as he looked at the clock; it said that it was 11:30. “Oh no!” Rinzo said, “How long was I out for?” He then went to the present that had a gold bow on it. The present make him forget about time as he went to look at it.
It was white as his skin and had a golden bow on top with a tag on it. “Should I wait until tomorrow?” He said, jiggling the box. Trying to figure out what was inside. Rinzo saw the top and noticed the tag that said, “This one’s free to open now.” His smile grew as he ripped open the box and saw a costume and a note.
He took the note out and read it first, “Dear Rinzo,” it began. “I had overheard your wish to be just like me and deliver presents. I thought long and hard on my journey over to your home on what I should do to give you the Christmas experience and I decided that this was the solution. Just slip on this extra costume and meet me on the roof. I shall tell you what will happen next. Happy Holidays, Noel; The Christmas Cat.”
His smile grew to a point where he could have never been before. He took every piece out of the box and set it on the couch. There was a body suit, feet paws, hands, a head plus his clothes. He looked at everything and wondered how his tail was ever going to fit inside the body. Extra words formed on the note they said, “Don’t worry about your tail, I’ll have that covered.” Rinzo giggled and started to get into the body of the costume, the only difference was is that it covered his orange stripes and that it make him look like a cat. His tail magically compressed to fit inside the costume. Rinzo sighed, “It must be Christmas magic…” Once he got the body over his chest and legs, he then got to the feet paws. They were very easy for Rinzo’s feet to slip in and once they we’re in, it was like the feet and the costume and the feet started to attach to each other. He looked down and tugged on them, they wouldn’t come apart. “They’re stuck on…” Rinzo said, shedding a little tear in his eye.
The head of the Noel costume suddenly began to talk, “Hey, don’t cry…” Rinzo turned to the head and then looked around; he wiped his face with a cloth and continued to get it on. He moved onto the gloves, slipping one on and the next. They both fused with the disguise but Rinzo didn’t cry. He finally grabbed the head as he stood in the mirror and admired his new look before turning into a look alike of Noel. “I look like the embodiment of Christmas.” Rinzo said, smiling. “I just need to put on the head, get on the clothes and meet Noel on the roof.”
Rinzo had put on the head and it too had fused with the body, Rinzo could see from the eyes but the mouth wasn’t able to move. He shrugged and got his coat, pants and scarf on. He felt more and more of the holiday spirit flow inside him than ever before, Rinzo smiled and got into the fire place and started to climb the chimney to the top where Noel was waiting for him.
Rinzo finally got to the top of the roof and saw a sleigh with a white cat in it. It was the magical person behind Christmas, It was Noel; The Christmas Cat! Rinzo squeed with excitement and pounced over to the sleigh. “It is you! It really is you!” He said with excitement.
Noel held him down, “Whoa there, Rinzo.” Noel said. “I know you are excited to see me and be in disguise to look like me but I went through some ideas while traveling here.”
Rinzo calmly sat in the sleigh and looked at him, “What do you mean?” He said with a calm tone. Noel patted Rinzo and whispered in the ear. He was surprised at what he was offering, “You want me to help with presents?”
Noel nodded, “It gets difficult delivering presents all alone and I need some assistants. Whenever I look for one, there’s no one around…” He looks at his present bag and then back at Rinzo. “I wanted someone who liked what I did and you, Rinzo Valiston were the lucky dragon to help out.” Noel sighed. “What I’m asking is Rinzo is with your Christmas Spirit, will you help me with the presents on Christmas Eve?”
Rinzo took his story into consideration and without a doubt in his mind, “I’ll help!” He said to Noel as the real Noel stood up and gave Rinzo some of his magic for getting into houses without making a sound.
“Alright!” Noel said “I’ve given you some of my powers, now let’s go and deliver the presents to all of the good girls and boy.”
Rinzo cheered as the sleigh start to lift from his home and blasted into the next state Noel is going to deliver presents in.
