Commission/fanart that I am so thankful for being trusted with. After this one, I'll definitely do more post apocalypse stuff.
I already have a concept in mind :)

This is fantastic. I love the similar color palettes and the reflections off the glass on the building facades. Overall it makes a great composition. The lighting sort of invites the viewer to observe with the character.
Are there any recommendations you would have for creating a post-apocalyptic city? Someone wants to eventually commission me depicting such a thing, but I'm still a newbie and I want to make sure I am efficient with my choices and methods.

Thank you!
I think it's generally easy to make a city look post apocalyptic but the key to selling the image are cool little ideas. Civilization is ruined so people have to use whatever they can find to survive so try to make an image that uses everyday objects as something new. Like mounting a garbage container on a truck to make a nest for the shooter. Things like that.
In terms of other esthetics, just give texture to everything. Fire and impact damage, repairs, plants, moss...

Ah ha, I understand what you mean looking at the picture a second time. You have a great grasp of textures. That is really something I wish to focus on more, much like the grass in the previous picture! Understanding how to implement textures will speed things up so much for me.
amazing piece as always! nice to see more character pieces by you!
this might be a weird detail to pick out but i love the strong sense of volume to the clouds.
btw, you can just use :link username: or :icon username: (without space) to link to another person on Furaffinity

Thank you so much! And yeah, I wanted the cloud to the right to be similar to a nuke explosion so it's nice to know that it's eye catching :)
Oh and I always wondered how to do that linking stuff that I've see people do! Thank you fur that :D
Let me try akitary
