Gasping with breathless lungs as feeling once again returns to severed flesh. Always did the healing process feel worse than the most grievous of injuries inflicted upon this recovering frame. How far had I fallen in my attempts for blind salvation, were all deeds for naught within each chapter of longevity?
Wandering with claws dragging against the wall as a slim guide when vision began to fail once again, following internal senses and subtle hints left by travelers before. Walking each direction that seems correct at the time, truly aimless in the shrouded struggle of the maze. Swinging into a large space and swiftly coming to halt, standing before the expanse giving a few breaths before white light sears vision as each content of the room becomes visible.
Sobbing reaches the dulled ears long before sight returns to aching eyes, soon looking upon the frame of the young. Sitting with legs pulled up to herself in rags for clothes in the middle of the room as if fearful of the walls in their holy wash. Without turning to look back the presence already aware to her in this place of white.
“Don't leave.” Were her only words to address, yet still unable to make eye contact.
“Leave?”
Crying more than first off as if the word brought forth a curse to which only she was affected by, “Don't, don't, don't!” she screamed with nails digging into cradled legs.
Stepping forward slowly, closing the distance between the small frightened child, slowly kneeling behind her unsure whether to reach out and touch her in reassurance or keep the contact detached, “What reasons are there to leave?”
“You have before,” curling forward upon herself, becoming more fetal with each movement away.
Secrets lost deep within resurfacing in attempts to strike horror within, yet only creating determination and a sorrow filled smile. Moving to embrace the child from behind to allow her fears to flow back, become nothing more than a memory, “Once there was a time where departure was possible, but no longer,” tightly holding this small girl scared in a place where none belonged, “..no longer.”
Fading within my grasp just as soon as she had come, light disappearing and becoming a figment of imagination. Full well is the fact of reality gripped firmly, what was once before me was no illusion but a call out to come home. Storms of questions fill my strengthening mind, how many had I secretly turned my back upon...had they even noticed in the magnitude as I just have?
Returning to my feet with new born strength, more clearly were the surroundings illuminated than before. Clenching aching hands, stretching unused muscles with pleasant burning to remind one of life and it's worth. Stepping in the proper direction, knowing this will be one of many in the treacherous road ahead.
“No longer shall I blindly follow my own faith, home I shall come back to.”

This is now the fourth part in the Labyrinth series, really beginning to have a lot of enjoyment and fulfillment writing these out. I haven't really decided how many more parts to the series I am going to write. Though I can feel that I am more than half way done with the series at this point. Hope everyone that reads it enjoys the reading.
