STORY TIME
Isabel struggles under the water for as long as she can.
She's badly wounded from being dragged along the stony ocean floor, tossed around by the waves unable to resurface.
Although the water was only knee deep to a regular human, it seemed deep for a fairy of her size.
Her struggle however finally stops having been unable to come up for air.
Tiny air bubbles escape her lips and her body goes limp.
A demon happened to be walking along the beach as her body was washed up onto the shore.
As he gets closer he spots her laying on the cold wet sand seemingly lifeless.
Curious to see whether the small morsel was still alive or not he walks straight over to her and crouches down looming over her tiny body and picks her up in both hands.
He sniffs her first. She still smells fresh, if she's not alive then she can't have been dead for long.
He then gives her a poke with his thumb, and as he does the fairy suddenly opens her eyes and coughs up water onto his hand.
Not only is the fairy still fresh, but she's still alive!
The demon takes the small morsel up between his index finger and thumb holding her by her ankle and dangles her over his face.
She see's the predators face for the first time, brown eyes staring right at her through long ebony hair which hung a little over his face and sharp fangs which the demon rolled his tongue across hungrily before parting his jaws open wide so the fairy was now staring right into his waiting mouth.
She could feel his warm breath on her cold skin, but Isabel was too weak to struggle any longer. She had survived drowning, but it looked to her like she would suffer the same fate as her mother being eaten alive by a demon.
It was perhaps a good thing for her that she passed out at this moment so she wouldn't experience what was to happen next.
