STORY TIME!!!
Isabel was a shy little soul.
She'd witnessed her mother being eaten alive by a demon when she was only a small girl, and her farther vanished that same day assumably having suffered the same fate.
Her sisters Violet and Primrose barely spoke to her growing up, they barely even acknowledged her existence!
But the queen of the hive who was their grandmother had a fondness for Isabel, and Isabel enjoyed the time she spent with her listening to stories of when her grandmother was her age, and doing odd jobs around the place.
One day the queen came down with a terrible sickness and sadly passed away.
Her daughter Cathy who was Isabel's aunt was the next in line to be the hive's queen.
She bared a grudge against Isabel though and requested that the guards kept her away from the queen's chamber.
Now alone with no friends and no one to love her Isabel fell into depression and would barely go outside.
She missed her grandmother, and since she had no friends and nobody else who loved her she went through her misery alone.
One night though when all the other fairies were sleeping Isabel heard a noise outside the drone's sleeping chamber.
She crept down from the ledge which she slept on and went to take a look and saw the shadow of a fairy creeping down through a tunnel in the hive.
She followed the fairy quietly until it became clear to her where exactly this fairy was going.
This fairy was heading right towards a chamber where the queen kept her valuables. Shiny things received as gifts from neighbouring hives, admirers or even found by the drones and given to the queen.
Isabel watched the fairy enter the chamber, and then come out soon after carrying a red jewel.
She spotted Isabel in the tunnel and realised she'd been seen spotted, and then ran past Isabel shoving her out of the way as she went by and made a break for it.
Isabel chased the thief through the tunnel until the two of them were outside. There Isabel was able to tackle the thief to the ground, but the jewel slipped out of the thief's hand and smashed on the ground.
The thief wrestled with Isabel and eventually overpowered her and got her on her back.
The sound of the two fairies wrestling had awoken the hive and the queen's guards accompanied by the queen rushed outside and surrounded the fighting fairies.
The thief claimed that she had chased Isabel seeing that she was running away with a jewel and suspected she was a thief... a lie since it had been the other way around. But the queen used the opportunity to get rid of Isabel for good!
She took the thief on her word and punished the wrong fairy without trial.
The queen changed Isabel's hair colour with magic from beautiful light blond to pink to brand her as a criminal, a typical act fairies in Darsha do to those who they deem as dangerous, and Isabel's magic was muted so she could no longer use it.
She told Isabel she had until the count of 10 to fly away and then she would send the guards after her, and when they catch her they would kill her.
Isabel tried desperately to plead her innocence, but when the count got to 5 she realised it was hopeless and flew away as fast as she could.
She soon found herself being chased by the guards.
She actually got quite far! she flew through the forest, down the side of a cliff, along the beach and in desperation to escape she flew a little way over the sea up to a point which to a human would be knee deep.
It was there that she found herself being struck down though.
One of her wings were torn by one of the guards and she could no longer fly.
She tried her best to stay in the air, but she fell straight into the sea with a plop and vanished under the surface.
Unable to swim she ended up sinking. The waves crashed overhead tossing her around under the water and dragging her along the stony sea bed which wounded her further.
The other fairies watched for a moment and waited, and when she didn't resurface they flew away to go and tell the queen she was dead.
