Not really a day off because you never get a rest day when you're a fruit merchant on Yria. ;D They at least make sure to never waste those rare goods. :)
A big character commission that was a perk in my "Myre - Chronicles of Yria" crowdfunding campaign two and a half years ago.
From a list of 14 different types of Yrians, the ones who pledged on "Champion of Yria" could choose one style to have their character drawn in the style of my graphic novel. Many of my commissioners wanted to be a merchant.
This one is for

He chose to have his character, Reyna, be a merchant with a well running business and rare things as well. So many want to be merchants, I might make a whole story of the Life of an Yrian Merchant one day to show how tough their lives are. :)

Oh now this is just gorgeous! The detail you've put into this piece is simply breathtaking and I love all of the wonderful weird and exotic fruit hanging from the enormous parasol above her. They're almost as much fun to look at as the rest of the picture combined! The fruit merchant character is really lovely and I really like her outfit, which looks both comfortable and practical for life on the road. There's something in her pose and the expression on her face that says she's quite a shrewd and clever merchant, too. Not that I suppose you'd expect any less from a fox.
The foreground characters and the little kitten pointing excitedly at the fruit are really cute, I think, and the large, elephantine beasts of burden look fantastic! The whole piece is amazing and it's always so much fun to get to peek into another world like this, especially one that's so exotic!

Thank you! Myre will be out soon. You will be able to get yourself a copy then. The commissions were a part of my kickstarter before I began working on my graphic novel. I might go for a second crowdfunding project for the next part of the series which will probably offer such slots again. ^-^
Now, this is what I love about you Alctor, and in artist's overall… you can change something as plain and simple like a white sheet of paper.

Just like when people go to shaman for spiritual guidance. People are coming to you so you can help them release their imagination, ideas and dreams from the prison of their minds.
As they are either unable to do that on their own. Or in the way that its satisfying for them. You are literally creating something from nothing...Isn’t that the basic term for miracle?
