Well, I would be not so radical than you, there is one thing that I love a lot in winter. It's the snow. Environnements under the snow are really pretty.
It's just that I hate to have the obligation to stay outside when it's really cold and wet. And I have to do it in my job sometime (securit guard)

It's a feeling or a preference question. Indeed fur is better for warmth and softness, but scales are good as natural armor. And also good for sneak or slip. For keep other safe and protected.
At the end, the most important is to feel well with your own body and enjoy to share moment, warmth and more with other ^^

I hate the cold as well, anything below 60° is unacceptable. XD But at the same time I like the cold (as long as it's not bitter cold), it makes listening to Insomnium more enjoyable haha. So does the rain, I love rain though just as long as I'm not outside in it (I hate getting wet lol)
