A long-standing thing that I've honestly wanted for the longest time has been a armor piece of one of my Argonians from the Elder Scrolls franchise, either from Oblivion or Skyrim. With that said, I've always tended to enjoy the look of armor from Skyrim a lot more, especially the Stalhrim armor set, and kind of feel that a set that utilizes aspects from that set, among others, would certainly make for an ideal set.
There are several different types of armors that I enjoy in the Elder Scrolls franchise, both light and heavy armor. While I am usually a light armor user, there are occasions and characters I've used that have utilized Heavy Armor well. By that regard, the canon armor of my main Argonian character utilizes aspects from both types of armor in his canon set.
The main setup in this armor set is the Stalhrim, which covers the entirety of the body and his tail as well. It seems unsuitable to me that there isn't tail armor when it's a vital part of Argonian anatomy, and that's something that really works in this case when done appropriately. The armor set also takes influences from Ancient Falmor and Dragonbone armors, carrying bits and pieces from those sets and also incorporating how the armor pieces fit together. The gauntlets carry a strong Ancient Falmor style to then, sitting underneath the Stalhrim plate on the back of the hand and taking up where the Stalhrim armor leaves off the bare hands. The same goes for the knees and the boots for the set, which are taken up by the Dragonbone set, in addition to the intermediaries on the arms and legs of the set, which take design aspects from the Dragonbone set. The result is a fair hybrid armor set that allows for full movement while at the same time full protection. This set also comes with a hybridized helm as well that covers a Dragonscale and Stalhrim hybrid design in the helmet, but the canon look is without the helmet.
This character has been fitted with a lot of different armor types over the years. Daedric, Ebony, Glass, Dragonscale, Ancient Falmot, etc. I do feel that Stalhrim fits him the most out of all of them, especially the heavy Stalhrim set, but taking aspects from past armor to make up for the lack of suitable design in the original set does help the total set overall.
This design isn't completely finished, in a way, but it is done very well.
