Hiddson: Hello and once again welcome to Bandits Breakdown. Your one stop for all things Las Vegas Bandits. Let us be the first to wish you a safe happy holidays, whether it's Christmas, Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa, among others. And welcome to week 15, the games for pretty much every team is meaningful in some way or another from one team to the next. For the Bandits they take on an Easton Bald Eagles team who's trying to stake their own claim in the playoffs.
Thursday: Yeah Brett. Draco Lindwurm, Delph Adler, among those wanting to prove themselves in this inter-conference battle for Easton. The Bandits D has to be on alert with a high flying offense looking to put up numbers for their home fans.
*cue the highlight reel*
Hiddson: It would be the Bandits who'd get off to the flying start though with Stapler finding Roy “Our Boy” Viridi-Aqua, with a 26 yard grab through the air. That would set up a Terry Paige goal line touchdown. 7-0 Bandits. Easton would have to punt their first possession after failing a third down. Why would I mention this?...
KLVB Radio: Punt is up and far... not that high and Carson no fair catch signal.. makes the catch and makes a fur miss. Another with a juke and he's got a lane.. fifty, fourty, thirty, one fur to beat, fifteen, ten, five... TOUCHDOWN BANDITS!!! A 65 yard punt return and this crowd is not happy about it.
Hiddson: Thanks from our friends at KLVB Radio there. Captain Quick striking again on special teams, Terry.
Thursday: Yeah all it takes to make punt returns dangerous is the first two furs missing their tackles, once that happens he has the speed to get by anyone in the league.
Hiddson: And the defense would have a nice cushion to work with as the Bald Eagle struggled to get soaring on either side... Too many men on the field called on Easton to get the Bandits a fresh set a downs would lead to a field goal in the second quarter. In the third quarter. Lindwurm looking for a passing lane but all he finds is Arnie Inman in his face... big sack by the D-Lineman. Easton would have to take their second field goal here. Unfortunately it would be the last field goal for them. Bandits would go on to win it 23-6, and improve to 10-5 with one more week to lock themselves a playoff spot. The Big play of the game the punt return for the touchdown.
Thursday: Yeah It'll be more important for all facets of the game, Offense to get the points, Defense to stop the opponents and take it away themselves, Special teams to take advantage of any mismatch getting points that way and secure good field position. Especially with the playoffs looming. Every player is important and the coaches have to keep them prepared and ready.
Hiddson: Right indeed, Brett. And with that we take our break but when we come back, an outlook on the final game of the regular season against the Chicago Outlaws.
