Rika recently hosted an art stream where she was doing raffles for freebie images in between working on Patreon commissions. I decided to hang around to watch since I enjoy her art and she's fun to chat with. It was a great way to spend a day, I thought. ^^

When it came time for the first raffle, a name was drawn but the person wasn't around so she rolled the selection again. Along with a couple others, I wished the group luck, making a self deprecating wisecrack that I don't trust my luck when it comes to winning things. Not even seconds after hitting Send on that chat message my name came up on screen, to the surprise of myself and the great amusement of everyone else at the sheer "spoke too soon" irony. XD Poor Rika was a little confused for a moment until she read back up the chat and caught up on what had just happened, being rather amused herself about it. X3

But all the same, I was delighted to be picked to have an image done by her and so I picked Vaid to be the subject of the holiday headshot icons she was offering as the freebies. And I love how he turned out. So adorable, especially with the hat~ >w< I should really do a full commission with her sometime when I get the chance. I really like her take on the possum here~ ^w^
