Ways the Pokemon franchise would be different if they had made Clefairy the mascot as planned:

1.) We’d know Clefairy by its Japanese name, Pippi. Pikachu’s name would probably be some mouse pun.

2.) The cartoon would be a lot more interesting, what with its main character using Metronome all the time.

3.) Raichu might actually get the respect it deserves. Or it would descend into Clefable levels of obscurity.
