Its one of the books the cast were required to read before being allowed to even read the script for The Matrix, though its supposedly philosophy.

"Out of Control" by Kevin Kelly
"Introducting Evolutionary Psychology" by Dylan Evans
Were all some of the required reading.
iirc, Carrie-Anne Moss was less enthusiastic and nearly failed this while Keanu Reeves excelled at it and could explain in detail every philosophical aspect of the script. Being willing to get involved in the nature of the character is part of what makes him a good actor as well. ;)
The picture is also wonderful :) its refreshing finding something that isn't covered in dildos. :)
