Christmas is an awful time for rescue, as people throw out their old dogs to make room for the new puppy and so many dogs get put down. All our local rescues are flooded with dogs that have lost their novelty value and have been dumped out in the cold because people can't be bothered. The one dog we see most is of course staffs and staff crosses and sadly not all can be helped.
