New drawing over one of my old photos.
Picture taken at Song Sunoco at Middlebelt and Seven Mile. It would have been unusual to see a '58 Cadillac at the time, or indeed to see any twenty year old car in Michigan. The winter road salt would normally cause cars to rust into oblivion within ten years.

Texas and Oklahoma cars don't rust. You can see 70 year old cars sitting in fields that look like they were parked there last week. I have a 27 year old car without a speck of rust and a 23 year old Cadillac that I drive daily that doesn't have a single bubble rust. Put it up on a lift and it is rust free underneath too.
