Commission I did with a client for their very first reference image of their character, Wheeler! This commission was SO FUN you guys, you have no idea how much I enjoy these.

Pretty much, Wheeler came to me to help him create his character. He had some ideas in mind, and wanted to make the character a direct representation of himself. So I got to know him and his personality, his interests, passions, and hobbies. Then, for the expressions, as well as the large main pose, Wheeler sent me some photos of himself that I could reference when drawing his wolf character. Making his wolf look like him is just the funnest thing to draw! I LOVE making people look like their characters, and this was the most direct way I've done it! It was so fun to translate his real expressions into that of his wolf.

He also asked for me to give his character a "birthmark" of sorts to forever serve as a sort of "signature" of mine as the one who helped create him. I went with something very subtle, a small scar on his foot, which mirrors some markings that my first ever wolf character from back in the very early days of my art had.
