I went to the US Bank stadium in Minneapolis for the return of Monster Jam after 3 long years of waiting for the new stadium to be built after the old stadium was torn down. Anyways when my dad and I gotten inside for the pit party, we were shocked and surprised to see the USA-1 monster truck there. This was the 3rd time in my life I've seen this truck in person before and it was a very special treat to see again after seeing it last a the Back to the 50's car show this past summer at the State Fair grounds.
Stood in line to get the autograph of driver/owner Everett Jasmer for my 2016 souvenir book and it was super awesome seeing him again.
This version of the USA-1 truck was the 1988 Chevy Silverado body that he was commissioned by Chevy in 1987 to build a new monster truck with the 1988 body design. The new truck was finished in January 1988 and used the truck for two races before giving the truck over to one of his younger drivers who would later win the 1988 championship with.
He'd even brought out his truck before they started the racing and wheelie competition, I was unaware of this I was distracted by the video montages of USA-1 back in the glory days of the 1980s' it wasn't until they cut to the arena did I realized he had taken his truck out and so I ran out to where to I go for my seating WAY up in the top row and started recording as he was interviewed saying he felt very honored and humbled to be there that night.
I remember seeing this truck back in my early teens when I was 12, 13 or 14 at the time when he was in Becker, MN for a 4th of July local event for the church my parents and I attended at that time. It was an amazing experience seeing the semi-truck pulling into where we had set up and unloaded the truck. :)

What is STL exactly?
Oh very awesome to hear that.
I'd gotten signatures from Son of a Digger, Soldier of Fortune: Black Ops and Lucas Oil Crusader. Really wish I'd gotten Grave Digger and Max D but the lines were extra long and I'd missed out on getting a reserved spot after getting a ticket but failed to see what time I had to be there by. :( So I was very bummed out about that.
Oh yes it is, I can't remember for sure when I started going I think I was 6, 7 or 8 years old.
So many things to pick out there, I really like getting up close to the trucks and getting to meet the drivers, seeing the track design up close as well as the racing, wheelie competitions and freestyle runs. Really wish they had some intermission events like demolition trailer races (demolition racing but with trailers hooked to the cars and the last one with their trailer still on wins), roll over stunts (winner is judged by how many times they can get their cars to roll over), type of tracks they use such as the Chicago style which they use at the events I normally go to. Really did wished they had brought back the roll over stunts, demolition trailer races and camper RV or pop up trailers for the trucks to smash through on that night. I do hope they'll do that when they return next February in 2017.
