This is a sketch that I started on Sunday while at Cole Canoe Base in Michigan. It took me till Tuesday to draw and was a great way to pass the time as it poured buckets and turned all the dirt trails into small, muddy lakes. I really just wanted to draw a fox (yes, I'm sort of a fox enthusiast, but hey that's why I'm here (and they're so much better than wolves ^_^)) and this is what my urge ended up producing.
At first, though, I had not drawn the bandage on the fox's left front leg. However, after a comment from an over-the-shoulder-looking bystander (I usually hate it when people do that but sometimes it can be useful) that it was the most depressing thing he'd ever seen, I needed something for the fox to be sad about. Luckily, I was working on first aid stuff earlier that day and I had already drawn the leg at the perfect angle to be his source of pain/sadness, so I just slapped on the bandage and all was well.
As far as the sketch itself, I'm actually sort of surprised at how well it turned out. In fact, I was so ecstatic over the idea that it had turned out so well, I added color as soon as I could: (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1432987/). (old link)
