BODY
The following questions ask you to explain how satisfied you are with each feature of the body of the costume.
If you are reviewing armsleeves or legs/pants that are seperate from a bodysuit, your answers would also go in this section.
(Appendages, such as hands, feet, tails, etc., are discussed later.) Wear Satisfaction
Please describe how it is to wear this piece of your costume.
This suit was a premade so it was not made to fit my body type it was made to fit someone around 5 foot 7
We have allowed friends to wear the suit that closely fit the bodysuit and we still ran into the same issues.
On every person who has ever worn the bodysuit the hock padding always falls out. We actually lost one of them at ac and found it on the ground right before we left. That was the biggest issue ive had with the bodysuit. They both twist very badly and fall right out
The padding is also foam so its not very giving. they lined it in this ruff thick fabric so it gets very hot. They are also completely glued and not sewn at all so some areas are very hard. Here are some photos of the padding http://imgur.com/a/7rXsy
The fabric is also fraying on the edges.
I also do not like the digi at all. In photos it looks round but in person its very blocky.
the bodysut has held up. A couple seams have poped but the entire bodysuit is sewn with a strait stitch so im not surprised seams pop. Some areas where not done well such as here http://imgur.com/a/rtQzH
They also gave too much seam allowance the edges are uneven and very large so there is large seams rubbing against your skin. http://imgur.com/a/dAXeq
There was one spot that was hand sewn im not sure why it was done only in that spot i didnt see a reason why it was sewn like that.
The inside is very very poorly done. They didn't take the time to clean up and cut off any of the edges. This also shows seams on the outside as seen here http://www.furaffinity.net/view/16937700/
Another large issue was the cuff of one leg was not sewn at all. The other side was but there was still the issue of the large seam edges and seams showing on the outside. The bottom of the leg was so uneven from the lack of sewing and trimming. http://imgur.com/a/Z2Z8f
I do not wear the bodysuit because its uncomfortable and the padding just falls out. Ive traded out the old padding for some of my padding just so I can stay cool and for it to look a little better. His body has been worn to 2 cons other than that hes normally a partial.
Appearance Satisfaction
Please describe how satisfied you are with how your costume piece looks from the outside.
Symmetry is good other than the cuffs of the legs being uneven due to not trimming
Shaving on the belly was poorly done kind of chopy.
Fur is high quality soft fur.
I really love the color combo its really matches the original art they got before making the suit.
HANDS AND FEET
The following questions ask you to explain how satisfied you are with each feature of the hands and feet of the costume.Wear Satisfaction
Please describe how it is to wear these pieces of your costume.
Hands where ok. Same issues with large seams on the wrists. The fingers are all hand sewn and you can feel that when wearing them
The paw pads where poorly done they are uneven and on different spots on the finders. They are also not round at all. One is kind of a triangle and one is larger than the others
the shaving was poorly done on the fingers they make the fingers look uneven.
The fingers where all different the didn't look consistent at all.
The hands are way too small for the suit. they are tight and uncomfortable. Other people with larger hands are unable to pick up things due to the fingers being too nubby and small.
http://imgur.com/a/C9ccF
Hands on the suit (the suit was made for someone this size) http://www.furaffinity.net/view/17503501/
It only looks normal when its someone smaller wearing the suit.
Appearance Satisfaction
Please describe how satisfied you are with how your costume pieces look from the outside.
Paw pad symmetry is bad on both paws paw pads are different sizes and in different spots on the fingers.
Shaving is very uneven
fur looks and feels great
love the colors.
OVERALL VISUAL SATISFACTION
The following questions ask how satisfied you are with the overall visual aspects associated with the costume. How satisfied are you with how closely the suit matches the concept art?
If there was no concept art, please state N/A
na
How satisfied are you with how well everything fits together and matches up?
Do you markings match up at the seams? Are the colors consistent?
everything matches up

How long did it take them to respond?
na
How satisfied are you with how the deadline was met for completion of your project?
Were any deadlines missed or was it done early?
na
How satisfied are you with the overall quality of your project?
since the review is just for the hands and bodysuit. it was ok there where a lot of things that where poorly done but hes still wearable.
How satisfied are you with the overall customer service and professionalism of the maker?
I do wish they took their time on the product. i can tell they dont really know 100% what they are doing when it comes to making these items.
Describe your experience. What were the pros and cons of working with this maker? And any final comments?
I've worked with this maker twice after buying boomer.
I've had another bad experience with them. I would not recommend them to anyone else.
I mostly spoke to the other maker when buying the suit and they where awesome. i dont plain on going back to otter.nonsense for a pair of new paws because I know they will never be done due to past experiences. also being a suit maker myself ill just make everything myself.

Just chiming in that a straight stitch isn't a bad technique because if your suit was to give it's best if it's at a seam and not the fur's backing! Sometimes people are rough in their suits without meaning to be so it's good that if something were to happen, it's an easy fix.
On another note, I'm surprised they shaved the fur on the belly, or at all on the bodysuit really o.O

I agree that for the price this is a worthy review however as the person above me said theres nothing wrong with using a straight stitch, in the event of a seam popping you will be able to easily put it together rather than have the fabric itself rip which can lead to a much larger and worse looking patch.
Sorry to hear about this suit being poorly made, Their suits are very cute from the outside.

I agree now!!! I learned a LOT after this suit being that this was made off my super old machine (rip the poor thing died just one body suit later haha). I also used heavy duty thread on this that just didn't agree with my old machine. :(
Luckily now I know the best threads, have a super awesome machine and learned a lot about tension and such. ^^ That's half of why this suit was a premade. I learned a lot from it!! I feel bad that I didn't know about how the client truly felt about the suit but I'm glad to see my old work vs new work and see just how far I've come.
Also ;v; the price is incorrect! I made sure to post in my own comment below about the correct pricing. c:

So I have been sort of avoiding commenting just for the sake of not wanting drama but I need to clear some things up on here really quick.
First, the body suit itself and hands, which you're reviewing for, was NOT $1,800. I saw some comments about pricing and I need to put out there that I only got about $500-$600 ish from this all. The other artist got the rest.
At the time of this collab with them, I was leaving for a paid trip and I ended up stressing out so much that I couldn't finish the spots or minor things with the body (like the bottom cuff and hands trimming / stitching). The body and hands were sent to the other artist and in exchange for them finishing the body, fixing any issues and finishing out the hands, I didn't get as much money as we had initially agreed upon which is why I only got the $500-$600. (I'd have to look back in my paypal just how much I got from it, but no. The body and hands alone were NOT $1,800. At most they were only supposed to be $800 for me. The rest was profit to the other artist / maker.)
As for the padding, as I had told the buyer prior, this was my very first full body suit, prior to this I had only made several faun legs. Since then I started adding industrial velcro tabs inside the body suits when Victoria told me about how her hock padding fell out at the con. (velcro has already been applied to the bodies I made this year c: so the old method isn't used anymore.)
I don't think foam is an issue as a LOT of fursuits are made with foam for digitigrade??
Although I do apologize that the fabric I used gets hot. I didn't hear from the buyer of this and I didn't know this was happening. Since then, because that fabric didn't sew well (which was why it was glued vs sewn) I changed to using Lycra which was also recommended to me by the other artist! So this older fabric is also not used anymore since the creation of Boomer. Since ALL of my padding patterns are saved, if I had known, I could have easily taken back the padding, replaced the material with something lighter and sewn vs glue it down. I wish I had known these issues were happening, I would have been more than happy to help. :( I'm deeply sorry..
As for the shaving, I was given the materials from the other artist and told by the other artist to shave the belly fur. We agreed to shave it down because it was too long of a pile for the tummy and needed the transition. This isn't the first suit out there to have a tummy that's been shaved because, let's face it, furs of every color don't come in every pile. :c I was given the materials to work with and worked with what I had.
As for the stitching, again, first body. I also had a horrible little Brother sewing machine back then vs the heavy duty machine I have now. I asked many artists prior if a straight stitch was fine and I was told, yes. I think because of the machine I had though, it didn't get the job done right the first time. And I apologize for not knowing to go back over it twice, I was told double stitching can cause strain especially to stretch furs which is what that light brown main color is.
As for the paws, since then my pattern has gotten bigger. I agree that my old paws were not one-size-fits-most and I didn't make the sale post what Victoria bought the suit off of, so I don't remember if it said that the paws for for size small. Had I of know the paws fit uncomfortably, I wouldn't have had any issues with making a new set.
I also don't think it's bad if paws inside are hand sewn but again, the paws were sent off to be finished. I did the paw pads on my old machine and I was still relatively new to the whole machine vs hand sewing thing. So again, if I had known there were a lot of issues with the paw pads or you were displeased, I wouldn't have hesitated to remake them for you on the newer pattern I made after this one.
I must say this is the first time I've heard from the buyer that they didn't like the shape of the suit. All our conversations about Boomer have just been how much they liked the suit and how much they loved the shape of my body padding, etc. etc. I sort of wish I had known they didn't like it first-hand as I've been under the impression this whole time that they loved this suit so much.
I'm sorry for the troubles the suit has caused you, being that this is WELL over a year old already, I've learned a lot from this first one vs now so hopefully in the future my better quality shows through. ^^

Hi, Admin here. Sorry been sick so nothing's updated yet probably won't be for a while.
1. Customer paid $1800 and they received ONLY body and handpaws (regardless of how money was divided)? Or customer paid $1800, got body, handpaws, and some other things all at once? Or something else? So I can categorize this correctly on the website. [I want to know what all took place in this one transaction]
2. Who was the other maker? You both worked on the body and the hands? Or ONLY you worked on body and hands? I think you mentioned this already but my reading comprehension isn't the best right now (sorry again, sick).
3. Would you like to make an official statement/reply for fursuitreview.com's version of this review? (It would appear in the maker's response tab here)
If so, get all your thoughts together how you want it to show up in that tab and email it to contact[at]fursuitreview.com and I can add it when I'm not [figuratively] dying. Hopefully tomorrow.
Thanks!

Oh gosh, I'm so sorry you're sick! :c I hope you get to feeling better soon!
I'll keep this in the same bullet format to make sure it's all organized for you. ^^
1.) The suit was on auction for $1,800 starting bid. I received $540 (I looked it up on paypal tonight) for the body and hands. So the price should be changed to that! The client was the only bidder and paid that amount in full, as far as I was told from the other artist. ( I didn't make the sale post nor handle the transaction nor money. That was all the other artist.) They received the suit as a whole, it was the other artist that sent out the package to the buyer. It came with head, tail and feet made by the other artist and body and hands made by me with help from the other artist. So one full suit! :3 I'm just not sure why only -half- the suit is reviewed here? :(
2.) The other maker has quite a few years of experience on me and was helping me a lot at the time to collab on this premade with me because I was having some financial issues. Her company is
WaterDogWharf She originally was only supposed to do the head, tail and feet. Which she did that! We sort of had to finagle it a bit since the way my digitigrade bodies are made, I had to work with her on the upper padding on the feet paws. The body and hands were made by me however, as I wrote above, I became SUPER stressed out with this body suit, being that it was my first full body. WaterDog ended up helping a lot with the body suit and hands. The padding was made by me, too!
3.) Sure! I've never had a review before so I'm not sure what all I should say that I haven't already said, but I will write it into a better response all together and email that out after final exams tomorrow. :)
Thank you so much! And again I hope you feel better soon!

1. They sent me 2 different reviews, the other one has the other pieces and I haven't posted it yet [I like to post only 1 review per day]. I meant to post it today but I got sick last night and been in bed all day.
2. thanks.
3. It's up to you. You don't have to. It's just the website is presented much more cleanly and there's no link to FA reviews from it. I always fear one day FA will ban this account for whatever reason (like fursuitmakerreviews) but the website should be up permanently.
Thanks for your answers and thanks for the well wishes. =]

Oh gosh I forgot to touch base on one other thing! About the seams showing! Unfortunately being that the fur is such a short piled fur and a 4-way stretch, pulling seams did almost nothing for this baby. :c I don't use short piled furs much these days after this if they are stretch because this was just a pain in my rear. I apologize that you can see the lines, I'm unsure how one stops furs like seal, minky or fleece from showing seams. :c If any other artists have ways of hiding short piled seams, I would super love the advice! I didn't think air brushing would be something to do on a full body suit but that's the only way I can think of to hide short piles seams?
