Padira's original character concept, before I settled on a courier, was actually a demon hunter. Back when Mists of Pandaria was first announced, a friend of mine would get really salty at DH RPers who were 'doing it wrong' by his reckoning. So I resolved to make a Pandaren demon hunter, in such a way that her arc would naturally lead her down the path of the demon hunter.

But then I liked RPing a courier more.

Several years later, when that friend had forgotten Padira's origins, I commissioned this piece for Halloween.
