I was at Anthrocon this past weekend; I'm happy to say I had an overall great time. I ended up having some spare moments that I used to do some sketching. In my personal opinion, it's the best sketching I've done. However, I don't always trust my opinion, so I'd very much enjoy some feedback from anyone who takes a look (even if it's just as general as "that's cool" or "that sucks").
The sketch on the left is a mechanical leg design. I started it on Friday in the open video gaming room, worked more while sitting on a staircase waiting for the person I was going to eat lunch with on Saturday, and finished it early in the morning Sunday while I was completely bored (since I forgot about the dealers' room which I had yet to explore).
After I remembered and toured the dealers' room, I sat down on the floor outside, retrieved sketchpad #2 from my bag and proceeded to draw what you now see on the right. It took me about a half hour or so (since that's all the time I had until the Robofurs seminar-thingy) and started out as a circle that was a little lopsided. For some reason the small bulge in the circle reminded me so much of a cheek that I just expanded from that and tried to draw an anthro-face. I was aiming for a fox (can you tell by the ears?) but in the end it took on a more feline look than I was hoping for. I think I'm going to try to work with it some more to see if I can't narrow and extend the muzzle to make it look a tad bit more vulpine, but that's just me in an attempt to remind myself about something I plan to do, so you may ignore this sentence. I'm quite pleased with it, none the less.
