I wouldn't even say "reference". It's more along the lines of "copying". The image is practically identical to Bernal's image with only a few easily made changes. I'm not going to say that this is a direct trace, as I'm too lazy to try and overlap the two images. But it's clear that this pic is too similar to the original. Thus, it's essentially a "copy".

And also, what an artist to pick from...

Yeah, I was just being nice about it and giving the benefit of the doubt that perhaps he doesn't know that this is not ok. A simple "This was referenced by work done by http://www.furaffinity.net/user/evilartnazi/" can fix this up. In fact, he needs to do this for some other pics in his gallery as well.
