A big improvement! The water now looks like water... and as a result, the Midgar seems much larger, much faster and much more frightening.

Hmmm,......Is this refering to the Midgardsnake from Nordic Mythology?

If so, a bit of trivia: it's named "Jörmundgand" meaning "the long rod"

that WAS its name til someone throw it into the sea and it grew big and was named the Midgardsnake.
and yes its Nordic mythology.

Hmm, I can't recall reading anywhere that it lost it's name after being thrown out by Odin...Midgardsnake is just a "nickname" of sorts. :P

At least that's what I've been led to believe. ^^'

well i dunno if it lost its old name after that but thats the name they use for him. And it wasent Odin that throwed him out. it was someone else....cant remeber the name

T'was Odin that threw him out, last I heard.
Originaly he had allowed Loki to keep his children at Valhall, but after the snake grew so big it could encircle Valhalla and snap it, Odin threw him into the sea where he grew so long that he has to devour his own tail while encircling the world.
