Concept Art/ Announcement/ Poll Whatever.
So, ive been unable to do much artwork lately, but I HAVE been much more productive in short bursts, creating concept art of new characters as well as thinking real hard of some interesting plots for events they'd go through.
This is Johnathan, he might be the main character of a new comic series i MIGHT make. He's strictly going to be a SFW character though. Moreso for realism reasons, creating a story surrounding sexual themes is kinda lame. So my question is, how should I allot my time?
I really enjoy drawing new characters, but making a comic is HARD WORK and it will definitely make commissions much slower to finish and my schedule will be a little more full. It's likely I'd spend the next few months drawing quick concept art like this (getting better and more serious as I get ready to post actual scenes.
THE PROBLEM ID LIKE YOUR OPINION ON IS: Should I put time into making a comic? I've always wanted to, it would be short installments, single-picture transitions, and a general arc which I'd do over the course of a few months, likely releasing them all in "Seasons" like a TV show after I get a head-start and finish the story.
BEAR MIND!!!! If you say i SHOULD do this, commissions and trades will be less accessible from me, I'd likely begin a patreon just to supplement it all. Id still definitely have them, but any fetishy art will definitely take a big hit if I start a project like this. Ill have longer periods of time without any posts, and sometimes really flood your submissions with sketches and themes. im letting popular interest decide if i should do this.

I'd say no to the comic thing. for me i tried to make a collab comic and at first it was going strong, but now its going really slow and doesn't seem worth it.
point is is that if you like low-risk high reward type deals, a comic isn't the way to go.
addressing your character problem, i say you should just go for it. make a file for em and use em when u want, or if your like me, make anonymous characters and role with that.

Although I think a comic is a great idea - I personally think you like to experiment and grow with art; a comic might tie you down to a style and project without freedom.
It would also be a commitment (although self regulated) to add to your bundle. Just some wolfy thoughts.

While I do greatly appreciate your fetishy works, you should definitely go for it. I know I, for one can get far more interested in a series, with a plot and developed characters.
Y'know, the best advice I've heard from creators, accomplished and not, is to do something that you enjoy, and would find yourself doing anyway.
I say yes, I'd love to see you draw out a story.
At the same time though, leave a little slack on the line for what Snowmew wants to do.

I would say that doing a comic would be an excellent idea.
Comic typically take time to draw out, and they're usually pretty fun and unique ways to build your skills, what with anatomy, or other character design.
With your position specifically, you could totally just add a few panels every day or so, or whenever you feel inspired to do so.

Go for it! Its ambitious and you have the skill for it! I'd adore a comic in your style vore or not! I want to see you grow, and this kind of a project is perfect! Id say do it! Its so smart to inquire what other people think of course, gather those opinions and make something magical!
